As I approach the three week checkpoint, it’s starting to hit me just how much I have accomplished and how hard it will be to leave Copenhagen. I’ve been trying to document my time here in pictures, stories and quotes. But sometimes those out-of-focus candids and run on sentences can’t quite capture it all. How am I suppose to explain those 5 minute conversations I have had with people who only speak traces of English? How do I capture biking the streets of Copenhagen in a picture? Which words in a thesaurus will lead me to the right words to capture the city of Bornholm? Or how about the ballet I saw last night narrated in Danish? And the coffee! How do you tell the story of all the coffee.
The last three weeks have gone by fast, but I can’t wait to share some of my memories with friends and family back home. Some of my favorites being: the Bornholm biking trip where I saw a Medieval castle, climbing to the top of the Round Tower to see the city, witnessing famous architecture in person and of course biking the streets of Copenhagen.
Between the classes and all the tourist attractions, there is never a dull moment. I can’t believe I only have three more weeks before I have to say goodbye.
