I am currently on a Study Tour for my course, Children in a Multicultural Context, in London. I arrived on Monday and will be leaving on Friday night, and it has been a jam-packed week of cultural experiences, good food, and meeting incredible educators/students.

My class focuses on multiculturalism, with a specific focus on the education system. We have visited Danish schools, a Copenhagen Mosque, a London public school, a London Hindu private school, a Hindu Temple, and a community center. Through the course and the Study Tour, I have been able to see parts of London and Copenhagen that I would never get to see from simply visiting.

In addition to visiting sites of multicultural significance in each city, while in London we got to do some tourist and cultural activities. We went to Matilda the Musical, the London Eye, and even walked along the Prime Meridian in Greenwich.

Part of the reason I chose to study through DIS was because of the Study Tour options, and now as I am writing this in London, I am so thankful that I did. It has been such a great visit, and I am excited to see how the course wraps up.
