Summer Session 2 Course:Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism from a European Perspective
Well, 4 weeks have gone by and I don’t understand how. It seems like just yesterday I arrived in Copenhagen and explored the city with my classmates. My bucket list is slowly dwindling down, but I keep finding more things to see in Copenhagen! I still have to see The David Collection, the Open Air Museum, the Marble Church (aka Frederik’s Church), and many more, but I have completed 20 of the items on my bucket list. Future study abroad students: I definitely recommend making a bucket list before or once you get to your destination! You are going to be overwhelmed by the amount of things to see and places to go once you get there, so start early. Once I actually got here, the list continued to grow.
My time in Copenhagen has taught me how different countries can still have similarities and that traveling is an amazing way to learn more about the world and yourself. Copenhagen is not exactly how I pictured it, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sure, the weather can be difficult to predict and the walking takes a toll on your feet, but traveling is such an amazing part of life.
I have become more cultured through art museums and exhibits, and have learned to think about life and history from a new perspective.
Session 2 has already started and I cannot believe how busy it has been. Tomorrow, I embark on my study tour to Oslo, Norway and London, England. Session 2 is our time to embrace our Copenhagen experience while exploring new cities as well. It is going to be a packed schedule, but I know it will be an exciting time in my study abroad and I hope to continue to learn in my new travels as well.
