Hi, everyone, I’m Hannah and I’m studying in Copenhagen this summer! Back in the States, I attend Indiana University Bloomington, where I’m majoring in Mathematics and International Studies. Here in Copenhagen, I’m taking Terrorism and Counterterrorism from a European Perspective in Session 2 and Nordic Culinary Culture in Session 3.

I chose to study abroad with DIS because of the unique (and degree-applicable) course offerings and the focus on experiential learning, and because classes include week-long Study Tours to other European cities. The courses I’ve chosen include Study Tours to Oslo, London, and the Faroe Islands! I wanted to make the most out of my study abroad experience, and DIS seemed like the best fit for me to do that.

I’ve been in Copenhagen for nearly a week now, and I’m loving it. The residential community where I live is only about a 15-minute walk from class (if I walk fast) and I have an incredible view from my room! One of my favorite things so far about Copenhagen is Torvehallerne, which is a fantastic market here. It’s close to my class building so I’ve enjoyed stopping there for lunch with my friends after class.

Well, that’s all for now! We are leaving for our first Study Tour on Monday, and I can’t wait. We’ll first be flying from Copenhagen to Oslo, Norway. Hej hej!
