Summer Session 2 Course:Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism from a European Perspective

It’s safe to say that the past 3 weeks have been the busiest and most exhausting weeks of my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I feel like I have accomplished so much in my short time in Copenhagen thus far. Living in a new city and country taught me how to be more independent and how to truly survive in an unknown place. I have learned to assimilate to a new culture while still being able to be me, which is something that I am continuing to adapt to. I have not mastered Danish culture, but I don’t intend to. I hope to merge aspects of Danish culture with my own.

For session 2, I can’t wait to spend more time enjoying the scenery of Copenhagen. The past 3 weeks have been filled with traveling to all the popular tourist sites and taking hundreds of pictures. Since I have done most of the attractions on my list, I want to just enjoy being here for 2 weeks and spending the other week in Oslo, Norway and London, England. Although I still don’t understand the bike culture and have questioned the differences between Europe and America, I feel more comfortable here after 3 weeks than I ever thought I would have.

It will be hard to top session 1, but I can’t wait to try.
